The pastor, who presided over the Sunday service, yesterday at the Thy Kingdon Come Ministry, has cautioned Abians, especially Abia North people, not to allow politicians to deceive them in the 2023 elections, adding that they should vote for tested and trusted leaders, who have done well.
Speaking, Rev. Dominic said that, “Though the Peter Obi (Obidient) movement is accepted by many Nigerians, especially from the Southeast, it is worrisome that some politicians are pitching their tent with the movement, in other to achieve their selfish ends”.
He said that Abia North had not had it this excellent in governance, in this four years so far, as he said, “God decided to bless Abia North, in 2019 with leaders that lead with their conscience. Abia North should prepare for a thanksgiving service to God, for giving us trustworthy leaders. Leaders like Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon. Nkiruka Onyejiocha and Hon. Benjamin Kalu, If you go around our communities in Abia North, their presence are well felt by the people”.
Rev. Dominic, went on to say that the developments he see, as a man of God, in Abia North in the past few years, shows that someone is already representing Abia North well, to the glory of God, saying;
“We don’t need to be told that God answered our prayers by giving us someone like Orji Uzor Kalu. Orji Kalu, that man, look at what he’s doing for us since he assumed office as a Senator. The roads, our schools, the water borehole he made available to our neighbouring community. We are children of God, God has brought us out of Egypt, using Orji Kalu, we have no reasons to go back to those dark days, when it’s as if the government does not exist.
“We challenged and condemned the inefficiency of the government. We prayed to God to rescue us, knowing that good governance lies in the hands of good leaders, leaders that can make things right for the people. A leader with conscience to think about how to change the ugly narratives of the people for good. We thank God for making Orji Uzor Kalu available, he has in this four (4) years, changed my narrative about the leaders, produced from this part of Nigeria. Let no politician hide under Peter Obi’s movement nor try to smuggle his ways into power in Abia North, Abia North people are already blessed with tested and trusted Leaders”.
He also encouraged the congregation to pray for God to send a good President to Nigeria, in the 2023 elections, saying that hunger is all over the land and people are responding to the call of their stomach infrastructure, as he said,
“There’s hunger in the land, and what we see today are Nigerians, responding to the call of their stomach infrastructure. That is why we must pray to God to lead us through this period of electing our leaders, so that we don’t make more mistakes, making wrong choices, based on hunger, anger or the economic status we find ourselves. We must call on God to give us the directions, we must call on Him to give us that grace to elect a good President, the nation needs at this time”.
