Amid the recent operations being launched by the Federal Government to end Oil Theft in the Crude Oil production areas in Nigeria.
The Operatives of the Navy in Niger Delta and the former Ex-militant Tompolo with his security outfit, Tantita Security Service Limited [TSSL] have succeeded in discovering 58 illegal tappings, found out two illegal pipelines, and lastly the discovery of a large vessel which is allegedly transporting crude oil to Ghana and to some other places in Niger Delta. This recent undertaking made by the Nigerian government is being accredited to Peter Obi by some people, Obi who had said lately in an interview that Oil is being stolen by influential people in the country.
However, Asari Dokubo, an Ijaw Political activist has come out to debunk this claim in a live video that Obi was the first to reveal that oil is being stolen in the Niger Delta. According to Dokubo, he has been spreading this information long ago that Oil is being taken from wellheads by some top personalities in the country.
He said, “Peter Obi is not the first person to reveal that Oil is being stolen from well heads in the Niger Delta. I have been saying this over the years in several interviews. Peter Obi had gone to copy it from me to say it. You can go and verify from my past interviews.”
