The Chief whip of the 9th Senate and eminent businessman Senator Orji Uzor Kalu arrived Enugu, Akanu Ibiam international airport, moved to celebrate friendship and birthday of his long time ally, Chief Clement Nwankwu with Dr Okay playing the host.

Senator Kalu Arrives Umuahia, Abia Capital For Fund Raising Ceremony Of World Class Multi-Purpose Hall…
It was a day of benevolence, a day of proof to his affections on education as a call of fund raising for the Holy Rosary Girls Secondary School had Senator Orji Kalu’s presence. This event brought to light, the reality to the success of their multi million naira hull and lots more.
Present at this event are; The Chief launcher / special guest of honour Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator Akon Enyakenyi, Senator representing Akwa Ibom South senatorial zone, Hon Mascot Kalu; Hon Chukwu Chijioke, Bende North constituency; Hon Sam Nwachukwu and others. Received by the Bishop of Umuahia Chatholic Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Bishop Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji and the National chairman of All Progressive Grand Alligence (APGA) Chief Sir Victor Oye.
On this day, the Chief whip of the 9th Senate pledged to construct a hostel worth 50 million naira for the students of the Holy Rosary girls secondary school, to be named after His Lordship, Bishop Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji. Also announced was a 5 million naira donations to the school with an additional ten (10) sewing machines to support skills acquisition department for the school.

Sen. Kalu Visits Abia CP, Expresses Sadness Over Death of Policemen…
This day been his first ever, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s visit to the police command was to commiserate over the death of policemen during the #EndSARS protests and was received by the commissioner of Police Janet Agbede.
The commissioner assured readiness of her command to put in their best to ensure safety of Abians during and after the festive season.

More Than 500 APGA / PDP Members Decamp To APC In Arochukwu.
They defected. They displayed their gratitudes to Mr President Muhammadu Buhari for remembering the region in his plans and new foundations that should never be left abandoned nor to die and be taken to be just political promises. Ihechiowa in Arochukwu local government witnessed the exit of Chief Joe Eze Aru of the APGA into the APC. A man with so much values. Pulling along with him, other APGA Members, fans and some of his PDP friends in Ikwun ward, received by the Chief whip of the 9th Senate, Orji Kalu and the APC State party chairman Hon. Obinna Oriaku and former commissioner of works and transport Hon. George Nnanna Kalu to the APC in CAMP NAYA country home of senator Kalu.
Hon. Obinna Oriaku from Owerri nta in Mbutu community of Isiala Ngwa south LGA while Hon Nnanna Kalu hails from Amogudu Abiriba, Ohafia LGA.

Senator Kalu leads FG delegation to revive abandoned power projects.
This special delegation drawn from the ministry of power was received by the Chief whip of the 9th Senate Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, in the company of the Deputy chief whip of the House of representatives Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejiocha. The team comprising the Hon. Minister of Power Engr. Mamman Kwagyang Saleh, The permanent secretory ministry of power, Chinyeaka Christian Ohaa. Managing Director Transmission Company of Nigeria, Engr. Sule Ahmed, the director of transmission, Nosike Emmanuel as well as several other directors and engineers from the ministry of power.
THE WORDS OF THE SENATOR;
“Few months ago I wrote to the honourable minister to see how his ministry can reactivate the power plants because these are part of the reasons we were elected. President Buhari is committed in reactivating all abandoned projects, we are constructing the roads and we also believe that power should not be left behind. The people will function economically when they have both roads and power infrastructures put in place. The Government of the All Progressives Congress are committed you can see the construction of roads all over this local Government; it shows that the APC Government is responsive.
I can assure you that in no distant time works to complete these abandoned power projects will commence that is why the minister came with a powerful delegation from Abuja with the Managing Director of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power and other directors and Engineers in the power sector.
“I am particularly worried because this project was initiated when I was Governor in 1999 , I facilitated these power plants when I was Governor but till date it has not been completed. But I am assuring you that President Buhari is committed to ensure that these projects will be completed.”
“This power station is of very good economic importance to this zone and the entire Southeast zone because once you generate electricity even people in Cross-River. The project will bring about economic development this is why you can see the deputy chief whip here and many other members of the house of Representatives are also here following you for us to do this project.”
Listed are the uncompleted power stations commissioned in 2001 and abandoned by previous administrations; the power stations include: UMUAHIA-OHAFIA 132KV SINGLE CIRCUIT Transmission line, UMUAHIA-MBALANO 132KV SINGLE CIRCUIT Transmission line, OHAFIA-AROCHUKWU 132KV Transmission line , 2X30/40MVA, 132/33KV Substation at Mbalano ,2X30/40MVA, 132/33KV Substation at Ohafia and 2X30/40MVA, 132/33KV Substation at Arochukwu.
