Legacy Of Impact: X-raying Sen. As a leader dedicated to improving the lives of his constituents, Senator Kalu has executed numerous projects in education, agriculture, infrastructure, and many more in Arochukwu LGA.
In education, Senator Kalu has prioritized the development of Arochukwu LGA by building and renovating several schools to provide a conducive learning environment for pupils, students and their teachers respectively. Some of the notable projects include;
– Renovations of Ndi Emene Community Primary School classroom in Abam
– Reconstruction of Amaogbo Community Primary School classroom, library, and office renovations.
– Renovations of Okeke Central Primary School (also referred to as Okeake Central Primary School)
– Renovations of 3 classrooms in Amuri Community Primary School in Abam.
– Renovations of 3 classrooms in Obinkita Central Primary School
– Renovations of 2 classrooms and 1 store in Aggrey Ibom Primary School
– Renovations of 3 classrooms and 2 offices in Ututu Central Primary School
– Renovations of 4 classrooms in Umuzombo Community Primary School, Ihechiowa
– Renovations of 2 classrooms, 1 office, and 1 store in Okpo Primary School
– Renovations of Amoba Primary School
– Built and furnished 5 classrooms in Ahuma Abam.
In infrastructure development, Senator Kalu has invested heavily in constructing and rehabilitating several roads to improve connectivity and facilitate economic growth. Some notable road projects include;
– Arochukwu-Ohafia Road, constructed up to Umuchiakuma in Arochukwu LGA.
– Obinkita Road, 2 kilometers of road from Slaughter in Aro town, Arochukwu LGA
– Amannagwu Cherubim Road, transformation of the road opposite Mary Slessor Secondary School, Atani Spur of Ohafia Arochukwu Nkwu Na Abu Highway
– 2km and 3km Interlink Roads, newly completed asphalt roads in Aro community that had been neglected for many decades.
– Access Road in Amoba, Provision of access road in Amoba, Umunna Okwaragwu
– Atan Abam Road, construction of road in Atan Abam community, which was previously neglected by past senators
– Amuru Abam Road, construction of road in Amuru Abam community, which was also abandoned by past senators
– Ndi Inya Abam Road, construction of road in Ndi Inya Abam community which connects other rural communities in Abam and facilitating inter-community businesses
Additionally, Senator Kalu has distributed millions of educational materials to virtually all secondary and primary schools in Arochukwu LGA, lessening the burden of parenting and promoting education
In agriculture, senator Kalu has distributed over 2,000 tons of fertilizers to farmers in Arochukwu LG as well as providing grants to farmers for the procurement of farming equipment.
As it was written in the bible, “let there be light”, distinguished senator Kalu has illuminated almost all communities in Arochukwu LGA with solar-powered street lights, fulfilling his promises of “one community”, 50 solar-powered street lights”
It is pertinent to note that, these development initiatives have had a significant impact on the lives of Arochukwu LGA residents. Senator Kalu’s commitment to education and infrastructure has improved access to quality education and facilitated economic growth in the area. His efforts have been recognized through various awards, including the Senate’s award as Best Constituency Development Lawmaker.
