BREAKING: Ganduje Takes Up Juicy Position As FAAN Board Chairman Days After Resigning As APC National Chairman
The immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been inaugurated as the Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) board.
Ganduje was inaugurated this morning by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, at the SGF Conference Hall, Federal Secretariat, Abuja.
He will now oversee FAAN’s board, a critical agency responsible for managing and developing airports across Nigeria.
The former Kano State governor has had a long-standing career in public service, with his tenure marked by infrastructural projects and significant political influence within the APC.
Daily Correspondents report that the former Kano governor, who recently resigned as APC national chairman citing health reason, was appointed to the position in January by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu alongside other board chairpersons for 42 federal agencies.
Among the prominent appointees are Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, former Minister of External Affairs, who will chair the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), and Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, who will serve as Chairman of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP).
