With the All Progressive Congress Presidential rally successfully held in Abia state, reactions have continued to trail the absence of the Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, with rumors of him supporting Peter Obi and other candidates from other political parties in the coming 2023 elections.
With all these unverified allegations leveled on a man who’s greatest concern is to see to the uplifting of his people and his political party the APC, what almost turned disaster in the just concluded presidential rally would have given opposing parties an edge that was to deflate the growing population of APC supporters in Abia State.
Reflecting on the calmness that took over the event at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, should be commended for applying wisdom in ensuring that Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential rally went peacefully as other political parties awaited for the stage to be thrown into confusion, thereby truncating the scheduled rally.
This singular act of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has reconfirmed his commitments to stand on the threshold of peace and conflict resolution. No one could tell the extent, his presence would had gone, in sterilizing the unknown, which could lead to the abrupt disruption of the slated presidential rally.
His foresights, knowing that some unscrupulous elements had been arranged to scuttle the Presidential rally in Abia State, has given the APC, a win-win confidence ahead of the general elections. No room was given to ridicule Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the rally went on successfully.
Like Orji Kalu, clearly stated in his messages to the public that, “no blood of any Abian, is worth sacrificing”, this goes on to say, that Orji Uzor Kalu, unlike some politicians, have respect and value for life. Anyone who instigate confusion and pushes the youths to fight and in the process, kill themselves, is not worth been attributed to as a leader.
For this uncommon quality of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, our respect for him has even increased and we must join hands with Orji Kalu, to end this era of barbaric politics and cleans the land of those unscrupulous elements posed to destroy our growing democracy.
We are glad, that the APC presidential rally was successful, even as the OUK Movement and the Reality Organization were callously attacked, the response of members of the OUK Movement, the Reality Organization and other good fans of Orji Uzor Kalu and the APC, shows that they’re in high spirits and are also in adherence to the vision of Orji Uzor Kalu, to always ensure that peace reigns, for without peace there would be no substantial progress.
