Hon. Paul Uche, who is an elder statesman in Bende, Abia state, has said that Abians who are in Benin Republic will return, in the course of the 2023 elections, suggesting that Abians should vote Mascot Kalu in the coming 2023 gubernatorial election if they want to join the fast growing and developing states in the country.
Addressing Abians who visited him in his Cotonou residence in Benin Republic, Hon Paul said that irrespective of the fact that the Abia state governorship seat of 2023, is expected to emerge from Abia North, following the power distribution formula that had made governors from the three Senatorial District, he also asserted that the emergence of Mascot Kalu in the governorship race is a relief to Abians;
He said “I want to thank you all for coming to have dinner with me on a day like this, when we can also discuss issues bothering our people, back home. Abia state is our own, It is wrong for us to sit in another mans country and fail to contribute our own civic responsibilities needed to give those we left at home a better life.
“2023 is not far from now, I urge us all to prepare and return home, our votes this time will count following the new electoral laws that has seen INEC introduce the BVAS. We should try our best and do our part by going home to add our voices and values to the history of removing inexperienced leaders for Abia to move forward.
“Mascot Kalu is not just our son from Bende, he’s also very qualified to be governor in Abia state. He’s young, vibrant, well educated and also has international records and experiences on improving Abia state. Hon Mascot kalu is an investor in human and structural stabilities as he also has that economic ideologies Abians needs. We have no objections that Mascot will do better than the governors Abians had elected in the past.
“As we return for the festivity period in December, we should have it in mind that elections are also around, after the Christmas celebrations. We should plan ourselves to see that we join in this electioneering process and also pass the messages of hope to our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and to all our friends, the message is simple, It’s Mascot Kalu we know for governorship. We will do our best to support him to victory in the 2023 governorship elections, that is a better way to place Abia state among the fast growing and developing states in the country”. He said.
